CMHFH Granted Sponsorships from Xcel Energy, Wells Fargo

Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity is the grateful and excited recipient of grants from several foundations this summer. Chief among them are generous gifts from the Xcel Energy Foundation and the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation.

The Xcel Energy Foundation gave $5,000 to support the construction of our 2008 Women Build Home. We appreciate the local support of Karen Young and Jim Garness seen in the photograph.

We are grateful to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for their sponsorships of the Monticello Habitat Home and the Green Build Habitat Home. They gave $10,000 to each home for a total of $20,000, through their team member volunteer program. Local Wells Fargo leaders like Laurie Tennessen (in Monticello) and Deb Jensen, Trina LaVigne and Allison Peichel recruited Wells Fargo employees to volunteer on the projects and make the grants possible. They installed windows and did other construction tasks as a part of this partnership.
