Partnership Opportunities

Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity has a 20-year history of engaging our local community to build and deliver affordable homes to low income families. Like all of us who invest our efforts in building for the future, each Habitat partner family must complete 200 hours (per adult) or more of "sweat-equity" building their own home, which they then purchase. Nearly all future homeowners complete their sweat equity hours while working full time, and often more than one job.

This year, we are working on build projects that include new construction and rehabilitation of recently acquired foreclosed properties. We construct single and multi-family as well as rehabilitation, these assorted builds provide great opportunities for collaborative relationships. Here are some vendor in-kind examples:

•  An HVAC company has committed to donate materials and labor on one of a twin home, while doing the other at market rate.

•  A plumbing contractor will donate labor for a single family home and habitat pays for materials.

•  A roofing contractor may request compensation for materials only and acknowledge the labor portion as In-Kind.

As you prepare your bid, please consider supporting the sweat-equity efforts of Habitat for Humanity partner families by donating all or a portion of value of your services when preparing your quote.

If you would like more information on how to make a service-related donation, please submit your inquire or comment through the "Contact Us" section located at the top of the page.
