Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity uses volunteer labor to build homes with low-income families. A Construction Site Host is responsible for registration and greeting of Construction Volunteers daily during the 16-week build at one location.
Skills
Must share the mission of Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity and have a wonderful attitude! They should also be prompt, willing to make phone calls to volunteers, help educate volunteers of the mission of Habitat for Humanity, and be in contact with Volunteer Manager.
Time Commitment
Our residential build generally takes 16 weeks from the start of the project to home completion. Volunteers should make a commitment of that time frame for one particular location of a project site. The workday runs from 8:00 am - noon and 1:00 pm-5:00 pm. For each day that there are volunteers on the site, you will be needed for 30 minutes at 8:00 am and 1:00 pm to sign in volunteers.
Training and Supervision
Under the supervision of the Volunteer Manager.
