Construction- Site Supervisor

Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity uses volunteer labor to build homes with low-income families. The Site Supervisor is under the direction of the Construction Manager and will supervise all onsite activities in the construction of a residential home for the duration of the project for a 16 week build. General Construction Volunteers are coordinated through the CMHFH office and provided for assisting with the building efforts.

Skills and Requirements

Volunteer shares the mission and vision of Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity, is highly skilled in construction and has a willingness to lead by example. Other requirements include:
-5+ years experience in residential construction strongly encouraged.
-Ability to read and execute from blue print or design specs.
-Ability to work with and direct volunteers of all skill levels.
-Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
-Motivated self-starter.
-Commitment to safe work practices.
-Daily inspect the site for hazards and take immediate corrective action.
-Provide appropriate safety instructions during daily volunteer sign-in.

Age Requirements
Must be 21 years of age and older.

Time Commitment
Our residential build generally takes 16 weeks from the start of the project to home completion. Volunteers should make a commitment of that time frame for one particular location of a project site. The workday runs from 8:00 am - noon and 1:00 pm-5:00 pm. 

Training and Supervision

Construction training and guidance will occur on-site under the supervision of the Construction Manager.
