Lawn Mowing or Snow Shoveling

Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity needs volunteers to mow lawns or shovel snow on properties that Habitat owns.  The types and locations of properties vary.  Some are foreclosed homes that Habitat has acquired and has not yet done construction on.  Some properties are empty lots waiting for construction.  Other types include Habitat's office and ReStore.  Locations are in the Saint Cloud, Foley, and Paynesville areas.

Time Commitment
The time is flexible to the volunteer's schedule.  Volunteers are asked to "adopt" a property and mow it weekly (or as needed) throughout the summer months, or shovel at the "adopted" property when it snows throughout the winter months.  Volunteers can choose if they want to mow, or shovel, or both.  Volunteers also have the option to be on a "waiting list" to fill in for other volunteers when they are out of town.

Requirements
Volunteers use their own mower or shovel and provide their own transportation to and from the site.

Age Requirement
Volunteers must be at least 14 years old or older.
