Goal to Fund 2nd Annual Women Build Home

Many of you may be familiar with our Women Build program. Now in its fifth year, Women Build has grown from its original 1-day event into a full week-long build and celebration. It has become a signature event for our Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity Affiliate, thanks to great volunteers and sponsors like you.
The best way to change the world is to change the conditions in your own neighborhood! Women Build provides that opportunity by bringing together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing families in our community. For most women, building a basic home for families and children in need is a very genuine expression of our values. We can give these children an opportunity to go down a different path in life, and so our efforts make a difference for generations to come.
This event is not about excluding men, but it does provide a comfortable environment for women to learn construction techniques so they can quickly learn the skills needed to contribute. And of course, women have a natural way of bonding and having fun in this type of environment!

The Women Build 2008 planning committee welcomes your involvement. There are several ways you can make a difference: use your talents and organizational skills to help us prepare for the event; become an event sponsor and turn the dream into reality; and encourage your friends to do the same.
Our goal is to raise $125,000 to help build a twin home located at 11th Ave. SE . Don’t forget to ask about our new Circle of Women sponsorship level! This program was started last year to recognize the philanthropic spirit of women—and it provided a special place for women to sponsor as individuals. It celebrates the fact that women can and do make a genuine difference in our own community.
Together we can make a difference and help one more family have a simple, decent, affordable home. By doing so, we can change our community and the world!
