Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity (CMHFH) is partnering annually with St. Cloud Tech High School’s Career and Technical Education program for “Tiger Build” (the school’s mascot), a Habitat project that is sold to a qualifying, local, family in need. Tech high school juniors and seniors build the upper half of a six bedroom home in the Tech High School parking lot, located on the corner of Division (Hwy. 23) and 14th Ave. in St. Cloud. The project utilizes also St. Cloud Technical & Community College students who are studying the construction trades, business management, graphic design and other careers. CMHFH provides the home design, permits, building materials and the lot to which the house is moved.
This is an exciting partnership…Not only do students learn valuable trade skills, but a local family is given a hand up by being able to become homeowners.
This Fall marks the fourth such project for Tech HS. The hope is that school build partnerships will continue to happen with even other schools in our four county area of service.
This project is a terrific opportunity for individuals, groups and businesses to share their commitment to community engagement and education by visibly supporting a well-known school and charitable organization in St. Cloud. Sponsorships will be recognized in various ways for over 18 months:

The second Tiger Build home has been moved to its final location at 701 East St. Germain Street, St. Cloud in June 2017. The home will be sold to the Mireh-Mohamud family after it is completed. Tech High Juniors and Seniors built the six bedroom home in the Tech High parking lot. Over the summer, students from YouthBuild completed the work on the house.
